In therapy I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, positive psychology, and a bio-psycho-social approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in life. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources. Many of them come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, especially the work of Steven Hayes, Jason Luoma, and Russ Harris. The sections on stress and the mind-body connection derive from the work of Stephen Porges (the Polyvagal theory), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing) Francine Shapiro (EMDR), and Bessel Van Der Kolk. I also rely heavily on the work of the Arbinger institute for my overall understanding of our ability to choose our life’s direction.
And deeper than all of that, the Gospel of Jesus Christ orients my personal worldview and sense of security, peace, hope, and love

I so appreciate what you mentioned in the first minute.
It comes from doing things that are esteemable….recognizing when we do…trusting our life has purpose.
I cannot do that. Burnout has me torn all the way down. There’s no routine or consistent step taken in any positive direction since the burnout makes it so what i know is important to do never matches in a meaningful way what i end up doing. No way can i know my life has purpose. Literally everyone in my family that i get close to reminds me that i shouldn’t have done that. We can be chatting enthusiastically about things we both relate to and then I’ll go a step further to share a personal thing i learned (like about me not having worked in yrs and not realizing how bad i actually was dysregulating and burnt out within my nervous system, then magically I’ll see their eyes are glued to their phone and they’re not listening or speaking to me anymore. Then they’ll pop back in and talk about something else.).
I just hope this motivates me to ….accept all the rejection. See it as a clear answer that these aren’t the people who can support me intrinsically. Accept that i am not in bad shape of i am the only one on eight billion that can understand me. It’s lonely and unsettling and it happens so much that i can predict it even though I’m frustrated with myself because giving the benefit of the doubt makes it so i feel terrible about labeling someone as unsupportive. Well, this same person in 1,000 situations has shown me they have not supported me. It’s not that i am being inappropriate by saying to myself that they aren’t the safe person i need when it’s time to share the pain that’s in my heart.
I sense that I’m autistic or have adhd and this may be why it’s possible to have this much life experience and zero confidence in myself or a career direction or any healthy relationship dynamic with a relative or non-relative.
I’m going to continue the vid and i think it’ll be a good result since i already know that what you’re mentioning is not something i could have done before today. So i won’t be able to feel like i let myself down or didn’t try hard enough. I had a very close and VIP who was always telling me i didn’t do something correctly and that’s why i do don’t have good results. That person is now on the outside where it’s safer for me. Their voice is permanently echoing in my mind, so that’s painful, but i now see that I’m alone either way. Being near them never meant that i wasn’t still handling all the heavy and soul-sucking parts of life alone. I just had the appearance and belief that i had someone loving next to me. I’ve never had that with anyone.
This video was exactly what i needed. You are a awesome person ❤️
It’s been so bad recently, my negative self talk is almost always on auto pilot when I’m tired it’s the worst I’ll automatically say I hate you almost every minute no matter where I am or what I’m doing and tbh I’m so tired of feeling down on myself and always isolating specially from family I just feel so ashamed to even look them in the eyes. And I feel I’m pretty extroverted :/ but I will get better I will
You are such a blessing. 🥹🙌🏼
